My career in accounting started in 1974 when, after graduating from Northeast Louisiana University, I moved from Louisiana to Dallas Texas. After working for a local CPA firm for a few years, I decided it was time to go out on my own, to fulfill my lifelong dream of owning my own business. Over the next forty plus years, I have enjoyed working with many small and medium sized companies and Individuals.
I made the decision to cut back on my working hours to spend more time with my grandkids, get back on the golf course, travel, read and whatever else comes along. I have many long-time loyal clients, some of them for over 40 years. Once I made this decision my first goal (obligation) was to find the right person or firm to merge my practice into. I interviewed several accountants before meeting with Kep. Some were too small, some too large, or the personalities just did not fit.
After Meeting with Kep and Abby and performing my due diligence, I knew that I had finally found the right fit for my clients. Kep, Abby, their staff and I are totally committed to making the transition of my clients as smooth as possible. After the transition, I plan on continuing to work part time with the KepnerCPA firm.
